Born on February 22, 1961. Passed B.Sc. in the year 1980 from Burdwan University. Obtained L.L.B. Degree from the University of Burdwan in the year 1984. Joined West Bengal Civil Service (Judicial) on November 28, 1988. Held the posts of Munsif, Judicial Magistrate, Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, in the rank of Civil Judge (Junior Division) and Civil Judge (Senior Division) as well. Appointed as Additional District Judge, Fast Track Court in the year 2000. Promoted to Higher Judicial Services in October, 2009 and posted as Additional District and Sessions Judge. Held the posts of District Judge, Jalpaiguri, District Judge North 24 Paraganas amd Member Secretary, State Legal Service Authority of West Bengal. Posted as Registrar (Inspection-II), Registrar (Judicial Service) and ultimately as Registrar General of High Court at Calcutta.

Elevated as Additional Judge, High Cout at Calcutta on 12.10.2018.

Appointed as Permanent Judge of the Calcutta High Court on 04.05.2020.
