M.A., LL.B.- Born on 14th January, 1950. Enrolled as an Advocate of the High Court at Calcutta on December 22, 1979. Practised at the Calcutta High Court mainly in the Criminal Side. Was the Senior Central Government Advocate. Was also the Railway Advocate for the South-Eastern Railway. Appeared for the Central Bureau of Investigation in many important cases. Appointed as a permanent Judge of the Calcutta High Court on and from February 24, 1999.
