Practised in the Calcutta High Court for 25 years in Civil, Constitutional, Labour, Company, Service and Arbitration matters. Appointed as Permanent Judge of the Calcutta High Court from 28th March, 1994. Transferred to Allahabad High Court on 19th April, 1994. Retransferred as a Judge of the Calcutta High Court on and from 1st August, 2000.
