M.A., LL.B.- Born on 10th January, 1939. Joined West Bengal Civil Service (Judicial) on 20th November, 1967. Promoted to Higher Judicial Service on 29th July, 1983. Worked on deputation as Legal Advisor, Metro Railway, Calcutta from April, 1990 to May 1992. Became District Judge, Murshidabad in May, 1992. Worked as Additional Registrar, Appellate Side, High Court, Calcutta from October 1993 to December, 1997. Appointed District & Sessions Judge, South 24-Parganas in December, 1997. Elevated to High Court Bench in February, 1999
