Born on 25th December, 1967.  Graduated with Honours  from the University of Calcutta. Passed  LL.B. examinations in the year 1994 from Hooghly Mohsin College; Enrolled in the Bar Council of West Bengal on 29th June, 1995; Practiced for fourteen years on civil and labour matters in Calcutta High Court and in different courts of West Bengal; Stood first in the Direct Recruitment Examination to the Cadre of District Judge (Entry Level) from the Members of the Bar 2009; Worked in various capacities like Registrar General of the Calcutta High Court; Secretary, Law, Govt. of West Bengal; District & Sessions Judge of A&N Islands, Howrah and Jalpaiguri and others;

Elevated to Bench, as an Additional Judge of the High Court at Calcutta on August 27, 2021. Appointed as Permanent Judge on May 2, 2022
