Born on 5^th August, 1960 at Panagarh Bazar, District – Paschim Bardhaman. Schooling at St. Patrick’s School at Asansol and Higher Secondary Schooling at De. Nobili School, Digwadih. L.L.B and L.L.M from the University of Burdwan in the year 1985 and 1990. Practised as an advocate for a brief period. Joined the West Bengal Judicial Service in the year 1992 and had been posted in different capacities as Additional Director, WBJA, District Judge, Bankura and Birbhum, and as Registrar Original Side and Registrar General, High Court, Calcutta. Delivered lecture at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration at Mussoorie.

Elevated as an Additional Judge of the High Court at Calcutta on 27^th August, 2021. Appointed as Permanent Judge of Calcutta High Court on 02.05.2022.
