M.Com., LL.B. - Born on November 24, 1952. After completing Graduation and Post-Graduation, passed LL.B. Thereafter passed WBCS (Judicial) Examination in 1979 and got his first posting as Munsif on probation at Alipore on 10/11/1980. Subsequently, he was promoted to the West Bengal Higher Judicial Service w.e.f. 27/11/2000. After working as Additional District & Sessions Judge at Barasat, Katwa and Alipore, became the District & Sessions Judge, Burdwan from 10/04/2008 to 10/06/2009 when he was transferred to the City Civil Court at Calcutta where he worked as a Judge from 15/06/2009 to 19/06/2009 and from 20/06/2009 to 15/01/2011 he worked as a Registrar in the registry of this High Court. On 17/01/2011 he took over the Office of the District & Sessions Judge, 24-Paraganas (North) where he was posted so long. Appointed as Additional Judge of High Court at Calcutta on 09/04/2012 (AN). Appointed as Permanent Judge of the High Court at Calcutta on 10/09/2013 (AN).
